Abstract

En el frenesí por comprender el fenómeno mundial de la COVID-19 y por dar cuenta de cómo una enfermedad está llegando a los lugares más remotos y causando serias consecuencias (Adhikari, Meng, Wu, et al., 2020), se vienen desarrollando numerosos trabajos desde distintas disciplinas. Sin embargo, nos topamos aquí con un punto ciego: la experiencia de los actores. En efecto, muchas preguntas quedan sin responder en relación con la expansión de este coronavirus: ¿Cómo experimentan los sujetos y los conjuntos sociales las medidas de profilaxis generalizadas? ¿Qué consecuencias tienen las prácticas de policía médica y de control social vividas estos días? ¿Cómo se reconfiguran las subjetividades en el presente marco de incertidumbre y constricciones económicas? En este sentido, creemos que la antropología médica puede brindar un valioso aporte a estos interrogantes. A continuación, pues, nos hacemos eco de las voces de algunos actores locales y presentamos una somera reflexión sobre la aplicación de una de las principales medidas del Gobierno argentino para contener la pandemia en el país.
