La emergencia de la nanociencia y nanotecnología en Argentina

Abstract

El objeto de ese texto es poner en evidencia el doble proceso, científico y político, através del cual se puso en la agenda la nanociencia y la nanotecnología como temática prioritaria. A nivel científico, se identifican varios mecanismos que, combinados, producen la (re)orientación de las agendas de investigación hacia la nanociencia y nanotecnología: inserción internacional de investigadores locales; redenominación de temáticas preexistentes; convergencia de objetos e instrumentos en la escala nanométrica; revalorización simbólica de la aplicabilidad socio-económica. A nivel político, se distinguen dos tipos de instrumentos que permiten la institucionalización de la nanociencia y nanotecnología en Argentina: los instrumentos que permiten la estructuración de comunidades "nano" y los que facilitan las relaciones entre actores académicos e industriales. Finalmente, el caso de la nanociencia y nanotecnología en Argentina permite discutir dos cuestiones centrales de la conformación de un campo tecnocientífico: el rol estructurante de las políticas públicas y la relación entre emergencia de un campo de investigación y reconfiguraciones disciplinares.
