La cultura como recurso omnipresente

Abstract

En estas páginas nos referiremos entonces al destacado lugar que la cultura adquirió en la celebración del Bicentenario. Sin embargo, lejos de naturalizar el vínculo entre la cultura y la celebración del Bicentenario, nos proponemos problematizarlo, y problematizar también el vínculo entre la cultura, el espectáculo o entretenimiento como instancias de disolución o atenuación de los conflictos sociales, y el vínculo entre cultura y política. En ese sentido, pondremos de manifiesto que en no pocas ocasiones y contextos, la cultura fue el rodeo utilizado para proponer un debate político acerca de un conjunto de temas que ya se encontraban abiertos en la agenda pública e instalados en la arena de la vida social1 y que no podían dejar de estar presentes en el contexto del Bicentenario.
