Un análisis normativo de los éxodos de Heracles y Bacantes

Abstract

En Heracles de Eurípides, el héroe es presentado como asesino de su familia y en Bacantes, Ágave descuartiza a su hijo Penteo. Se trata de dos crímenes de sangre cometidos bajo el influjo de la locura, pero la suerte de los asesinos no es la misma. Si bien ambos son exiliados de Tebas, Heracles se dirigirá a Atenas junto con su amigo Teseo y, en cambio, la madre de Penteo partirá sola sin rumbo específico. A la luz de la noción de normatividad, que permite indagar el sistema de normas que ordena la vida de los hombres en comunidad, en el presente capítulo analizo de qué modo se juega con la consolidación y la perversión de las reglas jurídico-sociales en las escenas finales de ambas tragedias. Con ese objetivo se estudian las estrategias discursivas de Teseo y Cadmo para ayudar a Heracles y Ágave respectivamente, y se sistematizan las referencias al exilio y a la cuestión de la polución en los éxodos de las obras.
