Abstract

El presente libro realiza un examen crítico y propositivo del enfoque de cadenas Globales de Valor, concepto ampliamente difundido desde la última década para describir el funcionamiento y segmentación de los procesos productivos en el marco del nuevo capitalismo a escala global. Su objetivo principal es analizar las potencialidades y limitaciones que se desprenden de su marco teórico, que torna la inserción en las cadenas de valor corno dispositivo para la elaboración de estrategias de desarrollo para los paises emergentes del Sur Global. De esta manera, impide indagar en los comportamientos divergentes que tienen lugar en su interior entre sus dos mayores regiones: América Latina y el Este asiático. En tal sentido, las contribuciones que se presentan a lo largo de estas páginas constituyen un punto de partida desde el cual reflexionar acerca de los marcos conceptuales originados en el centro y que han calado hondo en las políticas públicas, corno es el caso del enfoque de cadenas Globales de Valor. Esta edición se encuentra principalmente dirigida a alumnos de grado y posgrado, investigadores y profesores vinculados a las Ciencias Sociales, y a formuladores de polfticas productivas y gestores de áreas públicas y privadas vinculados a encadenamientos productivos.
