Abstract

Dada la vocación del encuentro de avanzar en ambas direcciones, contribuyendo así a una mirada más equilibrada de la historia de la cultura argentina, decidimos concentrarnos en dos cuestiones. Primero, revisar ese sobrentendido y sugerir los problemas que introduce para la práctica historiadora y la comprensión histórica. Luego, atender dos aspectos que creemos centrales en todo intento de ampliar la perspectiva social y territorial de la historia cultural o intelectual: la determinación de los contextos que interesan y la consideración de las modalidades diferenciales de circulación de ideas, figuras y objetos culturales.
