Trabajo Infantil y estrategias familiares en Mar del Plata

Abstract

El libro aborda la problemática del trabajo infantil en la zona puerto-sur de la ciudad de Mar del Plata. El esfuerzo está puesto en distanciarnos de las miradas ligadas a lo legal-normativo y comprender cuáles son las condiciones que hacen posible que existan prácticas de trabajo infantil en este espacio geográfico y temporalmente definido. Por ello, proponemos adentrarnos en los condicionantes objetivos, es decir, estructurales, que posibilitan la emergencia y la instalación de la problemática. Aquí, encontramos principalmente las situaciones de precariedad, informalidad y vulnerabilidad en las que se encuentran los grupos familiares, en un sector en el que resulta predominante el empleo en la industria pesquera y sus derivados. En este marco, sugerimos comprender la inclusión de niñas, niños y adolescentes a actividades laborales desde las estrategias familiares de vida que adoptan los grupos familiares ante las escasas posibilidades que dejan las estructuras objetivas. El libro resume los resultados de la tesis para acceder a la Licenciatura en Servicio Social de la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata realizada en el año 2013.
