Abstract

The aim of this article is to perform an ethnographic analysis of the access conditions and the data building inside such complex institutions as prisons. In order to do so, some fragments of the documentary film Ojos que no ven (2008) directed by Ana Cacopardo and Alejandro Irigoyen, are used as tool for analysis. Exploring such film text, whose context is made up of the different detention spaces in Argentina, allows us to wonder about the place or places where fieldwork is done. Finally, we try to think, taking the documentary as a starting point, about the plotline and the reflexivity interwoven with the research process.
