Based on a reconstruction of intermedia artistic experiences and of the theoretical discussions around “intermediality”, we establish a theoretical reflection on this topic and we approach its transformation caused by the impact of digital technologies. Finally, we postulate, following Vilém Flusser and Franco “Bifo” Berardi, a way to reactivate the critical power of intermediality.
