Programa educativo individual: responsabilidade, realização e acompanhamento

Abstract

The Decreto-Lei 3/2008 of 7 January 2008 defines the Individual Educational Program (PEI) as a "document which sets out and justifies the responses of education and ways of assessment." So, it refers to the responsibility of coordinating the PEI for the regular education teachers or directors of the class. It appears that this document, in addition to meet the specific needs of each student, is of great importance on students with special educational needs of a permanent nature, as well as all the elements that are part of their educational process. The PEI is a formal document that guarantees the right to equality of students with special educational needs of a permanent nature that should be regularly reviewed and reformulated, since it is based on a comprehensive assessment and integrated functioning of the student, subject to changes. This work has as main starting question: "Is there, in practice, a multidisciplinary team to develop an Individual Educational Program or is this just filled by a technician?" The choice of this theme is due to the fact that we want to see if the PEI is developed by Special Education Teacher.
