"I would like to begin my examination of the problem at hand by focusing on the meaning of the two terms used there, namely polygraph examination (further referred to as PE) and scientific evidence. I understand PE to be an action performed by an expert, the outcome of which is a possible indication of deception of the subject of the examination with regard to a certain topic of relevance under the law.
