Konserwatyzm i etatyzm we współczesnej myśli społeczno-politycznej islamu

Abstract

"Fenomen polityzacji islamu i kierunków myśli określanych zbiorczo terminem „fundamentalizm” postrzegany jest najczęściej w kategoriach sprzeciwu wobec wszelkich zmian oraz zamykania się w przeszłości. Tymczasem zjawisko to, postulując „powrót do świętych tekstów w pierwotnej postaci” oraz nadrzędność prawa boskiego nad prawem ludzkim, nie jest sprzeciwem wobec modernizacji jako takiej, lecz protestem przeciwko modernistycznemu poglądowi na świat. Nowoczesność (modern) jako efekt procesu obejmującego przemiany technologiczne, organizacyjne i społeczne, które zostały zapoczątkowane w Europie w XVI w., a na Bliskim Wschodzie w wieku XIX, nie jest odrzucana przez fundamentalizm. Ideolodzy tego ruchu widzą nieuchronność przemian i postrzegają je jako wielką szansę na poprawę bytu także społeczeństw muzułmańskich. Inaczej jednak rzecz się przedstawia jeśli chodzi o myślenie o świecie, przyrodzie oraz społeczeństwie, które narodziło się na Zachodzie w toku oraz następstwie rewolucji przemysłowej i naukowej w Europie."(...)
