Z wprowadzenia: "Zjawisko populizmu jest nieodłącznym elementem życia politycznego w demokratycznym systemie politycznym oraz immanentną cechą społeczeństw demokratycznych. Jedną spośród jego wielu cech charakterystycznych jest występowanie przeciwko rozmaicie określonemu wrogowi. W przypadku państw ze znaczącym udziałem procentowym w społeczeństwie imigrantów muzułmańskich, wrogie wobec nich postawy stanowią, bądź mogą stanowić, podłoże populistycznych ruchów i/lub partii antyislamskich."(...)
