Abstract

Artykuł recenzowany / peer-reviewed article; DOI: 10.21005/pif.2016.28.B-03 Ikoniczna sylweta Manhattanu zmieniła się w ciągu ostatnich kilku lat. Artykuł omawia nową generację super wysokich mieszkalnych wieżowców, które są budowane w Nowym Jorku, a także problemy techniczne, ekonomiczne i społeczne, które temu zjawisku towarzyszą. The iconic skyline of Manhattan has been undergoing a transformation over past few years. The article presents the new genre of supertall residential skyscrapers, that are being built in New York, as well as technical, economic and social challenges that follows that trend.
