This paper deals with wind tunnel studies carried out on the First Bosphorus Bridge. Aim of the tests was the definition of the aerodynamic behavior of its towers. The aerodynamic forces on a single leg of the tower were measured in smooth flow condition using a sec- tional model. Global forces at the base of the tower and pressure distribution on a leg where then measured on a rigid model of the full tower in smooth flow and turbulent flow condition. The results obtained from the two models were compared and a vortex shedding investigation was performed.
