Strategie di accumulo termico passivo in edilizia

Abstract

Le tecnologie di accumulo termico possono giocare un ruolo molto positivo per ridurre il fabbisogno energetico di un edificio sia in inverno che in estate. Esse possono essere utilizzate in edifici di nuova costruzione piuttosto che in edifici da recuperare, inserendosi all’interno di un panorama legislativo e normativo in costante evoluzione sia in Italia che nel resto d’Europa. Nelle stagioni calde una buona strategia di accumulo consente di ridurre i carichi termici sull’edificio, migliorando di conseguenza il comfort abitativo e la gestione dell’impianto di climatizzazione. Differentemente, in inverno, è possibile effettuare uno “storage” dell’energia solare incidente sull’edificio e renderla disponibile così da ridurre l’approvvigionamento artificiale dell’energia termica per il riscaldamento. In questa sede sono presi in considerazione alcuni esempi di sistemi di accumulo termico “passivo”, relativi cioè all’interazione diretta delle forzanti termiche con le tecnologie murarie ed architettoniche; si escludono dall’approfondimento le tecnologie cosiddette “attive” che contemplano l’ausilio di pannelli solari (sia solare termico che fotovoltaico) per l’utilizzo dell’energia del sole nella rete impiantistica e che meriterebbero per loro natura un approfondimento specifico.
