In modern Monostatic SAR systems, the number of PS that can be indentified is a small fraction of the total number of pixels. A limiting factors is the dynamic range of the acquisition and focusing system, much more stringent than the dynamic of the backscatter. The system proposed overcomes the problem by exploiting a constellation with one illuminator and one or more bistatic passive SARs. Both illuminator and passive SAR’s generate interferometric series of the same scene, but from different perspectives. The complementary images are combined to give a denser PS set. The bistatic angle is designed to reduce the dihedrals dynamic to avoid to mask other targets. Index Terms—Synthetic aperture radar, Interferometry.
