A problem of seakeeping

Abstract

Summary: The paper deals with the unsteady motion of a rigid body floating in a bounded basin, under the action of gravity, of liquid pressure and of given external forces. Existence and uniqueness are proved for the linearized model, assuming the radiation condition on the lateral surface of the basin.
