One of the expressions of the Open Educational Movement are the Open Educational Resources (OER) which are described as digital resources freely available over Internet mainly used in the teaching and learning process. In this article are presented the results of a qualitative study where educators studying graduated-studies in education at a Mexican institution were identified as subjects. The research was based on the ethnographic approach and used techniques such as observation and interviews. The results showed that the use of OER bring benefits for the educators and students. It is expected that the research will help to increase the knowledge on the topic and at the same time it will help the educators interested in the use of OER as a mean to innovate and improve their educational practices.
