Resumen: La apertura de archivos, bibliotecas y museos en la red es una realidad cada vez más presente y necesaria que permite extender los acervos y registros patrimoniales más allá de las paredes de los recintos culturales que los contienen, llevando el conocimiento a diversas áreas geográficas. En este documento se desglosa una propuesta de proyecto que pretende ser una herramienta de difusión del patrimonio textil en la red para un aprendizaje contínuo de los usuarios interesados en esta rama de las humanidades. El Repositorio México Textil en colaboración con el Museo de Arte Popular, es un primer acercamiento a la digitalización de acervos por parte del museo y un ejercicio de recuperación de investigación y documentación de una serie de exposiciones temporales.
