Abstract

Este eBook presenta dos principios básicos y prácticos de la arquitectura sustentable: el ecológico y el bioclimático. El principio ecológico propone que los edificios deben afectar lo menos posible el entorno natural: ahorrar y reutilizar agua, reducir y conservar la energía y utilizar energías alternas no contaminantes; por otra parte, el principio bioclimático pretende adecuar el tipo de construcción a las condiciones climáticas de cada lugar. La mayoría de las decisiones que afectan el uso de la energía en las construcciones, ocurre durante el proceso de diseño. Por lo anterior, la intención de este trabajo es facilitar y abrir nuevos horizontes, ser punto de partida y apoyo para desarrollar soluciones propias, particulares o generales en proyectos arquitectónicos sustentables dentro de nuestro país.
