Un estudio sobre la resignificación de los textos de acuerdo a los editores y traductores que los publican. La tesis explora el relato de viaje de Robert Tomson su primera publicación en una compilación de viajes ingleses en siglo XIV editada por Richard Hakluyt. Posteriormente traducida al español en México durante el siglo XIX por don Joaquín García Icazbalceta. La tesis profundiza en las intervenciones de ambos el editor y el traductor por medio del paratexto.
