Abstract

El control de admisión es uno de los mecanismos que tiene que ser ejecutado en el momento que se establece una solicitud de llamada en una red de banda ancha, con la finalidad de evitar que se produzca congestión en la red. El nodo de acceso es el que decide aceptar o rechazar el pedido de conexión, basado en la descripción de la carga de tráfico encontrado por la conexión a lo largo de la ruta seleccionada. Esta tesis propone un esquema de control de admisión de llamadas para redes de banda ancha basado en un método de estimación de los descriptores de tráfico para cada uno de los tipos de fuentes de tráfico. La estimación se basa en una aproximación gamma al modelo binomial usado para caracterizar las diferentes fuentes de tráfico y mediante el cual se calcula los parámetros de calidad de servicio
