Deepfake como táctica de desinformación y ciberguerra: el caso de la guerra de Ucrania

Abstract

Introducción El primer deepfake usado en un conflicto armado ha visto la luz durante la guerra en Ucrania. Este documento audiovisual, atribuido a ciberdelincuentes rusos, muestra al presidente Zelenski ordenando la rendición del Ejército y el pueblo ucraniano. Es el primer uso de desinformación con deepfake como arma en un conflicto militar. Se ha tratado de un deepfake de baja calidad (cheapfake) y ha podido ser identificado rápidamente como falso por los principales medios de comunicación y plataformas de fact-checking. Sin embargo, el uso de este tipo de tecnología como táctica de desinformación en un contexto de ciberguerra, plantea una necesaria discusión sobre el uso y límites de la Inteligencia Artificial en un escenario de posverdad y permite entrever los ya presentes problemas derivados de la ciberinseguridad a los que ciudadanos e instituciones habremos de hacer frente en esta primera mitad del S.XXI.
