Análisis de co-ocurrencia sobre el uso de realidades extendidas en educación superior

Abstract

Las tecnologías digitales que permiten generar entornos de aprendizaje próximos a la realidad, se encuentran en pleno desarrollo tecnológico y pedagógico. Concretamente, en entornos de educación superior, se han incrementado las experiencias que integran tecnologías de realidad extendida (RE), agrupándose bajo esta terminología las experiencias con realidad aumentada, virtual o mixta. En este estudio se persigue analizar las evidencias científicas de los últimos 5 años (2015-2020) para ayudarnos a comprender el tipo de estudios, tecnologías y los aspectos esenciales que constituyen este corpus científico. Para ello se ha realizado un análisis basado en redes bibliométricas haciendo uso de VOS Viewer® como trabajo previo a una revisión sistemática exploratoria. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que la investigación científica relacionada es prioritariamente aquella que analiza experiencias piloto. En estas experiencias, la realidad aumentada se manifiesta como tecnología fundamental a parte de la realidad virtual. A su vez, en educación superior se presentan más frecuentes las experiencias de realidad virtual de tipo inmersivo en ámbitos próximos a medicina y otras carreras técnicas. Tras los hallazgos obtenidos se muestra un campo científico en auge, aunque disperso, puesto que los términos claves relacionados presentan una densidad reducida. Todo indica que las tecnologías de RE están captando el interés de docente e investigadores pero se precisan más estudios que ahonden en su impacto en el aprendizaje.
