Ferjefri E39: Næringsliv og verdiskaping

Abstract

Et næringslivsperspektiv kan tilføre mye når det gjelder å fremskaffe et bedre beslutningsgrunnlag for store infrastrukturinvesteringer som E39. Dette prosjektet sitter på både næringslivsdata og kompetansedata på bedriftsnivå og kommunenivå, og det er mulig å se hvordan næringsklynger og arbeidsmarkeder vil endre seg ved ny infrastruktur. I første omgang vil prosjektet skissere et metodisk opplegg og teste dette ut på et pilotområde, Molde-Ålesundsområdet. Prosjekt er utført av Handelshøyskolen BI på vegne av Statens vegvesen. Ved å koble de to ”øyene” Ålesund og Molde ved en ny Ferjefri E39 vil man kunne skape et effektivt arbeidsmarked for sysselsatte på omtrent 42 000, som i dag er henholdsvis på omtrent 27 000 og 15 000 (uten Ulstein, Volda og Kristiansund). Sammenslåingen gjennom en Ferjefri E39 vil føre til flere og sterkere klyngebedrifter, flere komplementære bedrifter og legge et grunnlag for sterkere vekst i antall ansatte og i verdiskaping.
