The use of Low Power Instrument Transformers instead of conventional measuring transformers has contributed to more compact designs, more accurate measurements, and energy savings (including in terms of production and transportation). It is necessary to establish procedures to verify that the Low Power Instrument Transformer is functioning correctly. The technology is relatively new at Siemens Energy, and there is currently no standardized document for testing procedures. The main focus of this thesis is therefore to develop and optimize a testing procedure for Low Power Instrument Transformers. Implementing a well-defined procedure will ensure increased accuracy, efficiency, and quality in testing. A testing procedure has been prepared based on existing documentation for both Low Power Instrument Transformers and conventional measuring transformers. A checklist has also been developed to align with the new procedure. The procedure has not been tested in practice. The proposed testing procedure is therefore a suggestion and requires thorough review before it can be implemented in operational facilities.
Bruken av Low Power Instrument Transformer istedenfor konvensjonelle måletransformatorer har bidratt til mer kompakte, nøyaktige målinger og energisparing (i form av blant annet produksjon og transport). Det er nødvendig å etablere prosedyrer for å verifisere at Low Power Instrument Transformer-en fungerer som den skal. Teknologien er relativt ny hos Siemens Energy, og det eksisterer foreløpig ikke et standarddokument for testprosedyrer. Hovedfokuset i oppgaven er derfor å utvikle og optimalisere en testprosedyre for Low Power Instrument Transformer. Innføring av en god prosedyre vil sikre økt nøyaktighet, effektivitet og kvalitet ved testing. Det er utarbeidet en testprosedyre, basert på eksisterende dokumentasjon for både Low Power Instrument Transformer og konvensjonelle måletransformatorer. Det er også utviklet en sjekkliste som samsvarer med den nye prosedyren. Prosedyren er ikke testet i praksis. Den framlagte testprosedyren er derfor et forslag og krever nøye gjennomgang før prosedyren kan bli anvendt på anlegg.
