Helsesykepleiers erfaringer med å ta opp samtaleemne vold, overgrep og omsorgssvikt i møte med barn og foresatte under 1.trinn helsesamtalen

Abstract

Vold, overgrep og omsorgssvikt er alvorlige folkehelseutfordringer. Helsesykepleiere har en viktig rolle i å avdekke slike forhold og iverksette forebyggende tiltak. Denne kvalitative studien utforsker hvilke erfaringer helsesykepleiere har når temaene vold, overgrep og omsorgssvikt introduseres i helsesamtalen på 1. trinn. Åtte helsesykepleiere fra seks ulike kommuner ble intervjuet i studien. Funnene viser at helsesykepleierne benytter ulike tilnærminger, men gjør grundige vurderinger basert på barnets grunnleggende behov, atferd og følelsesuttrykk samt samspill med foresatte. Studien synliggjør den sentrale rollen helsesykepleieren har i dette forbyggende arbeidet. Samtidig peker funnene på behovet for økt kompetanse for å kunne håndtere disse krevende temaene på en trygg og systematisk måte.
