En fremstilling av læringsbegrepet i læreplandokumentene LK06 og LK20

Abstract

The theme of this master’s thesis is learning in physical education. The purpose of the study is to examine how the curriculum documents LK06 and LK20 portray the concept of learning in primary education grades 1-7. The study is base don the skills and qualities emphasized in education and the pedagogical approach the curriculum documents have towards them. The theoretical perspectives in the thesis include the curriculum ddocuments LK06 and LK20, Goodlad’s understandingo f curriculum analysis, the socio-cognitive perspective on learning in connection with Bandura, dynamic system theory, and the ecological perspective highlighting Gibsons theory of affordances. A qualitative content analysis with thematic approach has been applied to answer the research question. The findings in the analysis indicate a shift in focus from the outcome and achieved goal in LK06, to the pratice approah in LK20. Additionaly, LK06 transitions from promoting an individual development focus to focusing on the learning community itself in LK20. How this affects teaching practices and students learning in the subject largely depends on how the formal curriculum is interpreted and analyzes by individual teachers. It may still suggest that learning in LK06 is characterized by the traditional view of education, where verbal introduction and feedback are utilized. In contrast, LK20 promotes a more holistic and profound level of learning, emphasising exploration, student participation and communal learning.
