Kretsutvikling for elektrokardiografi og signalbehandling

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis focuses on circuit development and signal processing for electrocardiography (EKG), with a specific emphasis on pulse rate measurement using a realized EKG signal. EKG is a signal that describes the electrical activity of the heart. The recorded EKG signal consists of distinct morphological features, including a P-wave reflecting atrial depolarization, a QRS complex indicating atrial repolarization and ventricular depolarization, and a T-wave resulting from ventricular repolarization. The thesis begins with a study of the heart's electrical systems, followed by amplification and filtering of the EKG signal. Subsequently, the signal is converted into digital form and subjected to digital signal processing. Finally, the resulting heart rate is displayed on a screen.
