Hvordan kan læreren legge til rette for at elever blir motiverte for bærekraftig handlingskompetanse

Abstract

I denne oppgaven har det blitt forsket på hvordan læreren kan legge til rette for at elever blir motivert for bærekraftig handlingskompetanse. Det teoretisk rammeverket til oppgaven har hovedsakelig være Selvbestemmelsesteorien av Deci & Ryan som handler om hvilke behov som må være møtt for at man kan være motivert. Metoden brukt for innsamling av datamaterialet har vært dybdeintervjuer av tre informanter som er lærere på tre forskjellige barneskoler. Analysen som har blitt brukt er tematisk analyse, som har ført til fire hovedfunn fra intervjuene. Disse er det å konkretisere for elevenes hverdag, legge til rette for medvirkning, lærernes og skolens holdninger til bærekraft, og muntlige ferdigheter. Drøftingen tar for seg disse hovedfunnene opp imot Deci og Ryans selvbestemmelsesteori for å se om de samsvarer.
