Problemløsing i et tenkende klasserom

Abstract

Samfunnet er i rask endring. Det tydeliggjør viktigheten av at elevene utvikler ferdigheter innenfor samarbeid, problemløsing og utforskning (NOU 2015:8, , s. 7-10). Dette er ferdigheter som virker å samsvare med det som Liljedahl (2021) ønsker med sitt rammeverk; et tenkende klasserom. Formålet med denne studien er å få et innblikk i enkelte lærere sine erfaringer med problemløsing i et tenkende klasserom. Studiens problemstilling er: «Hva er læreres erfaringer med problemløsing i et tenkende klasserom?» Problemstillingen avgrenses ved hjelp av to forskningsspørsmål. Dette er en kvalitativ studie og det er blitt brukt semistrukturerte intervjuer for å samle inn studiens datamateriale. Utvalget består av fem informanter. For å analysere datamaterialet er det brukt en tematisk analyse. Studien konkluderer med at lærerne har gjort seg både positive og negative erfaringer når de arbeider med problemløsing i et tenkende klasserom. De vektlegger at endring er krevende, både for dem selv og elevene. Informantene virker å ha gjort seg positive erfaringer med de vertikale ikke-permanente tavlene. De forteller at de gir god oversikt over hvordan elevene løser oppgaven og at de er nyttige for å oppsummere timene med elevenes arbeid. Samarbeidet som et tenkende klasserom legger opp til, er noe informantene forteller at ofte virker positivt inn på elevenes arbeid med problemløsing. Elevenes holdning er noe lærerne erfarer kan være hemmende i møte med problemløsingsoppgaver, men de virker også å erfare at elevene har en positiv holdningsendring.
