Lærerens holdninger til elever/barn med atferdsvansker

Abstract

Sammendrag Denne forskingsoppgaven tar sikte på å belyse lærenes holdninger til elever som strever med atferdsvansker. Formålet var å øke kunnskapen om læreren sine tanker, følelser og handlemåte overfor denne elevgruppen. Min problemstilling har vært: Hvilke holdninger har lærere til atferdsvansker/atferdsproblemer hos barn på» mellomtrinnet i barneskolen»? I forskingsoppgaven brukte jeg kvalitativ metode, og det ble foretatt fem semistrukturerte intervjuer med lærere som jobber i barneskolen. Analysen og tolkingen av datamaterialet ble gjort ut fra fenomenologiske og hermeneutiske vitenskapsperspektiv. Det teoretiske grunnlaget var tuftet på teorier om holdninger, holdninger og atferdsvansker, samt risiko og beskyttende faktorer i et barns liv. Denne forskingsoppgaven har vist at lærerens holdninger har betydning om atferden til eleven anses som en vanske eller normal. Vider at relasjon er viktig for hvordan lærere klarer å ivareta elever med avvikende atferd. Lærere med yrkeserfaring og som føler seg tygge i jobben, liker å jobbe med denne type elever, og har positive affektive holdninger til eleven som igjen kommer til uttrykk i elvens faglige og sosiale trivsel på skolen.
