Arbeid og psykisk helse

Abstract

This thesis addresses the importance of work for people's mental health. There will be a focus on how being included in working life can contribute to improvement. It is emphasised that many people want to work, and that society should therefore give them this opportunity. There are several approaches to work inclusion, however this thesis will have a focus on Supported Employment, and ordinary working life. Through literature, it turns out that despite the fact that it can be demanding, it has several health-promoting aspects. The central issue here is a focus on the individual's wishes and resources, and how one as a social worker can facilitate an effective work inclusion.
