Abstract

Tittel: Fysisk aktivitet og rusavhengighet. Introduksjon/bakgrunn: Fysisk aktivitet blir anbefalt som et behandlingstiltak i rusbehandling. Samtidig kommer det frem at det nåværende tilbudet har rom for bedring, og at det er behov for videre forskning. Hensikt: Hensikten med denne oppgaven er å finne ut om fysisk aktivitet har en betydning for rusbehandling for voksne, og hvilke faktorer som spiller inn på deltakelse av fysisk aktivitet. Samt hvordan vernepleiere kan tilrettelegge for fysisk aktivitet. Metode: I denne oppgaven ble litteraturstudie tatt i bruk som metode. Det var fem artikler som ble valgt ut, i tillegg til annet relevant fagstoff. Resultat: Fire av de fem vitenskapelige artiklene viste til at fysisk aktivitet har en betydning for rusbruk og utfallet av rusbehandling for voksne. Motstridende, viste resultatene fra en av artiklene at fysisk aktivitet ikke hadde noe betydning. I de fire andre artiklene, ble vist til små forskjeller på resultatene fra de ulike treningsformene. I tillegg vektla to av artiklene faktorer som spiller inn på deltakelsen av fysisk aktivitet, og dermed hvilken betydning fysisk aktivitet kan få avhengig av disse faktorene. Faktorene som ble trukket frem gikk under emosjonelle, strukturelle og sosiale faktorer. Konklusjon: Det vises til indikasjoner på at fysisk aktivitet har en effekt på rusbehandling for voksne, uavhengig av type fysisk aktivitet og stoffavhengighet. Deltakelse i fysisk aktivitet påvirkes av flere faktorer, blant annet tjenesteyteren som har ansvar for aktiviteten sin rolle. Vernepleiere kan bistå for å skape et godt grunnlag for deltakelse gjennom kartlegging og tilrettelegging. Det pekes videre på at det er behov for videre forskning, som omfatter ulike typer fysisk aktivitet og effekten det kan ha for rusavhengighet og behandlingen av dette. Det er også behov for å finne ut mer om forbedringspotensialet for fysisk aktivitet i det nåværende behandlingstilbudet.
