Abstract

Rapporten formidler resultater fra en spørreskjemaundersøkelse om ansattes oppfatninger av og holdninger til pasientsikkerhet i kommunale helse- og omsorgstjenester, gjennomført ved hjelp av den norske validerte versjonen av spørreskjemaet Nursing Home Survey on Patient Safety. Undersøkelsen leder fram til fem anbefalte punkter: 1) Ledelsesforankring på alle nivåer, også førstelinjeledere, er viktig for å utvikle en god pasientsikkerhetskultur; 2) Lokal forankring av tiltak og involvering av ansatte med direkte pasient-brukerkontakt er viktig for at innsats knyttet til pasientsikkerhet skal føre til konkrete resultater; 3) Det er nødvendig med konkrete og kortsiktige resultatmål; 4) For å utvikle en kultur der ansatte er opptatt av pasientsikkerhet, må ledere og ansatte anerkjenne at feil handler om systemet, og ikke om den enkelte ansatte; 5) Utvikling av pasientsikkherhetskultur og innføring av digitale tavler er virkemidler som støtter opp om hverandre, og som må sees i sammenheng med mål om bedre kvalitet og pasientsikkerhet.
