Ungdomskultur - et fremmedelement i skolen?

Abstract

English: This bachelor thesis is about youth culture in a school context, and how this culture can be a part of the pupils identity formation. Lower secondary education is the main focus, and it will be discussed whether or not youth culture is, or should be, a part of the school life. It will be explained what youth and youth culture is today in an identity context. It will also be reviewed what the school system purposes are, and what turns out to be the reality in lower secondary schools today. In Chapter 4 it will be discussed whether or not the youth culture is a part of the school life by looking at what LK06 says about the subject, and what is written in the background documents for the project "Ungdomstrinn i utvikling". Could it be that lower secondary school pupils motivation would have been higher if youth culture was considered as a school resource?
