Sykepleie ved sepsis

Abstract

Bakgrunn Sykepleiere står i nøkkelposisjon til å identifisere sepsis på et tidlig stadium. Derimot er det mange pasienter som får et komplisert sykdomsforløp og tilstanden har en høy forekomst av dødelighet. Sepsis gir uspesifikke og vage symptomer og kan derfor være vanskelig å oppdage tidlig. Hensikt Hensikten med oppgaven er å belyse sykepleiers funksjon og barrierer for å tidlig identifisere sepsis i spesialisthelsetjenesten. Metode Etter Fribergs metode (2017) har vi i denne oppgaven utarbeidet en integrativ litteraturoversikt, hvor fire forskningsartikler ble analysert. Resultater fra disse, relevant teori og egne refleksjoner utgjør grunnlaget for denne besvarelsen. Resultater Resultatene viste hvilke barrierer som påvirket den tidlige identifiseringen av sepsis. Disse barrierene var relatert til individuelle og organisatoriske barrierer. Videre viser studiene et kunnskapshull om identifisering av sepsis, som kan påvirke hvordan sykepleieren tar vare på den septiske pasienten. Noen av studiene viser også til implementering av nye vurderingsverktøy og effekten av disse.
