Kunstig intelligens i mediebransjen

Abstract

Bruken av kunstig intelligens øker i mediebransjen, og stadig flere medieplattformer følger utviklingen. Denne masteroppgaven undersøker derfor hvilke krefter som styrer denne utviklingen, gjennom en hermeneutisk tilnærming. Denne studien bruker en kombinasjon av kvalitative intervjuer og tekstanalyse. Med fokus på strømmetjenesten TV 2 Plays implementering av kunstig intelligens, utforsker denne oppgaven om deres utvikling av egen medieteknologi kan påvirke konkurransen i det globale strømmemarkedet. Sosial påvirkning versus teknologi som påvirker drøftes i lys av teoriene teknologisk determinisme og sosialkonstruktivisme. Med store aktører rundt TV 2 Play, undersøker denne oppgaven også hvordan NCE Media, Vimond og Universitetet i Bergen påvirker utviklingen av kunstig intelligens. Ved å systematisk analysere både nasjonale og internasjonale aktører, forsøker studien å tolke om de norske aktørene vil styre utviklingen eller om de internasjonale konkurrentene vil dominere.
