Abstract

Oppsummering av kunnskapsnivået vedrørende sammenhengen mellom atmosfærisk korrosjon og miljøparametre, samt økonomiske konsekvenser av korrosjonen. Korrosjonen øker sterkt når det dannes en påtakelig fuktfilm på overflaten. Av luftforurensningene er det SO2-konsentrasjonen i luften som har størst betydning. Korrosjonen synes også å øke sterkt når surhetsgraden i nedbøren øker under pH 4. Amerikanske beregninger over økonomiske korrosjonsskader som følge av luftforurensninger inneholder modeller som bør kunne benyttes for norske forhold.
