Abstract

Digitalisering av det norske helsevesenet skjer i stadig større tempo. Formålet med digitaliseringen er å forbedre pasientsikkerheten, samt å gjøre driften i helsevesenet mer effektiv. Viktige systemer er pasientjournal systemet og andre systemer som støtter opp under arbeidsprosessene i helsevesenet. Digitalisering medfører et nytt risikobilde, som krever at organisasjonen er i stand motstå og håndtere hendelser som for eksempel at de digitale systemene svikter. Som en del av oppgaven gjennomførte jeg et søk etter tidligere hendelser og studier om dette temaet. Ut i fra dette kan en konstatere at slike hendelser ikke er uvanlige. Tidligere hendelser har også medført betydelige konsekvenser i form redusert produktivitet, økt arbeidspress og i enkelte tilfeller svekket pasientsikkerhet. I arbeidet med denne oppgaven så har jeg presentert og benyttet sentral teori innenfor fagområdene sikkerhet og organisasjonsteori. Masteroppgaven er skrevet med utgangspunkt i ønske om å få en oversikt over hvordan leger og sykepleiere på akuttmottaket opplever og er forberedt på manglende tilgang til det elektroniske pasientjournalsystemet.
