Fem typer frivillige arbeidere

Abstract

Denne rapporten tar for seg typer frivillige arbeidere i det norske samfunnet. Undersøkelsen starter med å se på frivillig arbeid og frivillige arbeidere opp mot tidligere forskning og teori. Basert på dette blir de to problemstillingene 1: «Hvilke grupper av frivillige arbeidere kan vi finne basert på frivillighetstype?» og 2: «Hva kjennetegner medlemmene i de ulike gruppene?» formulert. Problemstillingene besvares gjennom tre steg. I steg 1 og 2 gjennomføres det en latent klasseanalyse med de tre faktorene: tidsbruk, type arbeid utført og tilknytning til de eller den de gjør frivillig arbeid for som observerte variabler. Steg 3 er en multinomisk logistisk regresjonsanalyse som bygger på funn fra de to første stegene, og sosiale kjennetegn. I undersøkelsen finner vi de fem klassene «aktive frivillige», «dugnads frivillige», «av-ogpå-frivillige», «deltakende frivillige» og «bakgrunnsfrivillige». Alle klassene skiller seg fra hverandre med tanke på sosiale kjennetegn, men i noe mindre grad enn forventet. Disse funnene diskuteres opp mot tidligere forskning og teori.
