Abstract

Denne tekniske rapporten tar for seg utvikling og konstruksjon av en løsning som er designet for å erstatte dagens gipsprosess ved håndleddsbrudd. Løsningen innebærer å 3D-skanne en hånd og 3D-printe en brukertilpasset gipsskinne, og baserer seg på en tidligere hovedoppgave fra 2017. Denne prosessen skulle automatiseres ved å bruke dagens 3D-teknologi, i samarbeid med en gruppe automasjonsstudenter. Det ble utviklet og bygget en 3D-skanner som i kombinasjon med modelleringsverktøy og 3D-printer skulle kunne generere en pasienttilpasset gips. Rapporten inneholder en beskrivelse av arbeidsprosessen som har blitt gjort, med utførte tester, diskusjoner og resultater. Avgjørelsene i oppgaven er gjort for å skape en best mulig fungerende prototype med tanke på kvalitet, tid, økonomi, brukervennlighet, komfort og design. Prosjektet ble gitt uten spesielle begrensninger, men med forbehold at prosessen burde ta rundt 30 minutter. Resultatet ble en fungerende 3D-skanner, men som ikke produserer gode nok modeller til at en gips kan genereres fra en skannet hånd.
