Abstract

I denne oppgaven har jeg undersøkt hvordan én enkelt skole arbeider med sosial kompetanse hos elevene. Jeg har bemerket meg at det er lite nasjonale retningslinjer på dette punktet, og stor variasjon på hvordan dette gjøres på ulike skoler. Jeg tok utgangspunkt i en definisjon av sosial kompetanse utarbeidet av Terje Ogden. Ellers har jeg sett på teori om både sosial kognitiv teori og Vygotskys nærmeste utviklingssone, i tillegg til teori om sosial kompetanse, tilpasset opplæring og tilknytningsteori. Anita Berg-Olsen har også hatt en undersøkelse om aldersblanding som jeg har sett på, og sammenliknet med det arbeidet de gjør på skolen jeg har brukt i studien min. Jeg har brukt en kvalitativ metode der jeg har både intervjuet lærere på skolen og observert hvordan de arbeider. Jeg så spesielt på et egenutviklet program som de bruker til utvikling av sosial kompetanse. Her har lærerne ekstra fokus på relasjoner og variasjon i undervisningen. I tillegg brukes det mye aldersblanding i arbeidet. Denne studien var kun på én enkelt skole og funnene er derfor ikke generaliserbare, men kan likevel være til tips og inspirasjon for andre skoler som leter etter nye arbeidsmetoder.

In this assignment, I have looked at how one single school is working for the pupils social competence. I have seen that there is few national guidelines for this, and there is a big variation in how schools are doing it. I took a definition of social competence made by Terje Ogden as a starting point. I have looked at theory about social cognitive theory and Vygotsky's zone of proximal development, in addition to theory about social competence, customized training, attachment theory. Anita Berg-Olsen have had an examination about age mix in schools, witch I have compared with what I found in my examination. I used a qualitative research where I interviewed teachers at the school and observed how they were working. I had a special focus at a selv-developed program they use for development of social competence. Here the teachers have an extra focus on relations and variation in the teaching. In addition they use a lot of age mix in their work. This study is focusing at one single school and is therefore not generalizable, but can be for tips and inspiration for other schools looking for new methods to use.
