Norsk ungdoms preferanser og holdninger til fisk og fiskeprodukter

Abstract

Målsettingen med dette delprosjektet har vært å kartlegge barn og ungdoms preferansestrukturer for ulike former for fisk, fiskeretter og andre sentrale middagsretter. Resultatene er basert på en landsomfattende og representativ spørreundersøkelse gjennomført i utvalgte skoler over hele landet. Klassetrinnene 8 og 9 i ungdomsskolen og 1 og 2 i videregående skole har vært med. Hovedresultatet er at halvparten barn og ungdom i Norge ikke liker fisk. Selv de som ikke direkte misliker det, rangerer fisk og fiskemat nederst sammenlignet med andre sentrale middagsretter. Et unntak er laks og ørret, som var godt likt. Fisk oppfattes å være kjedelig, men sunt. Ungdommen er altså klar over sunnhetsverdien ved fisk, men foretrekker de rettene de opplever som mest usunne: Taco, pizza, hamburger, kebab osv. Det var likevel en del forskjeller i preferansene, basert på geografi, kjønn og alder. Vi fant ut at nærmere halvparten av utvalget misliker fisk og sjelden spiser det.
