Smertelindring av opioidavhengige pasienter

Abstract

Problemstilling: Hva kan bidra til å møte utfordringene i smertelindring av personer med opioidavhengighet innlagt i somatiske sykehus? Metode: Dette er en litterær oppgave. Problemstillingen belyses ved hjelp av faglitteratur, offentlige publikasjoner og forskningsartikler, og dette er valgt med bakgrunn i relevans for oppgavens hensikt. Teori: Her vil omstendigheter rundt problemstillingen bli presentert. Disse inkluderer informasjon om rusavhengighet, smerter og smertelindring, lovverk og etikk. Noen utfordringer med smertelindring av personer med opioidavhengighet gjøres rede for. Utfordringene som presenteres er holdninger, kunnskap og tillit. Drøfting: Utfordringene med smertelindring av personer med opioidavhengighet drøftes ved hjelp av forskningsartikler, sykepleieteori, faglitteratur, og offentlige publikasjoner. Konklusjon: Det kan ses en sammenheng mellom manglende smertelindring av opioidavhengige pasienter, sykepleieres holdninger og sykepleieres mangel på kunnskap og tillit. Tillit mellom pasient og sykepleier er sentralt i smertelindringen, og det kommer frem at kunnskap er en viktig faktor i dannelse og endring av holdninger.
