Abstract

English: In today's society every 5. cohabitants with common children, choose to go from each other, while approximately 9000 married couples divorce. The majority of children shows reactions of a separation which can lasts longer than one year. These reactions are expressed in school and can affect both the academic learning, as well as the social skills, both good and bad. With this as a background, I have chosen a qualitative method, where I've interviewed 3 teachers to find out their experience with the dealing with and reflections on a cohabiting impact on children in school. Important discoveries are that the teachers had good reflections that matched much of the research that already is done. Yet, there was a big focus on the negative ring effects of cohabitations and little about the positive ones. Teachers were also very concerned with the practical implications, including inferior follow-up on the lessons.
