Barns sosiale kompetanse

Abstract

Tittel for denne studien er Barns sosiale kompetanse. Studien har eit formål om å undersøkje korleis personalet i barnehagen kan bidra til å fremje barns sosiale kompetanse. Sosial kompetanse er eit stort omgrep, det er derfor føretatt ei større utdjuping av omgrepet. Det vert sett i samanheng til forsking der vaksenrolla kjem fram som ein sentral del av arbeidet for positiv utvikling for barna. Politiske styringsdokument belyser krav til barnehagane i arbeidet kring det sosiale fellesskapet. Det vert også lagt fram at personalets kompetanse har stor tyding for kvaliteten på barnehagetilbodet. Studien vert også sett opp i mot teori kring risikofaktorar og beskyttelsesfaktorar, der barnehagen kan vere utslaggivande i begge retningar, samt individ- og systemperspektiv i barnehagen. Det vert nytta kvalitativ metode som forskingsmetodisk tilnærming av studiet. Tre informantar frå same barnehage har stilt til intervju. Det vart tatt eit strategisk val om å nytte informantar frå same barnehage, for å sjå etter samsvar i analysen av datamaterialet. Funna tilsa eit godt samarbeid mellom informantane i barnehagen. Det kom blant anna fram ein felles kunnskap og forståing av omgrepet sosial kompetanse, som også samsvara med teorifunn. Problemstillinga for denne studien var; Korleis kan personalet i barnehagen bidra til å fremje barns sosiale kompetanse? I konklusjonen vert problemstillinga konkludert til å handle om to ord; kunnskap og samarbeid.
