Variasjon for variasjonens skyld?

Abstract

English: Variety is an important factor in order to adapt the teaching to student diversity. The teacher often has a wide range of methods that can be used for varying approaches, activities and working methods, giving all students the opportunity to work in a way they master and from which they can learn. Science teaching in particular requires a variety of working methods since the students through “forskerspiren” will learn about natural science as a product and a process. On this basis I have chosen to look at how science educations are varied, and then how this theoretically can help give all students a better learning outcome. This was accomplished by observing three different science lessons. I found that the teachers in general varied their teaching, but that variety alone does not necessarily contribute to the students learning. It seems that the organization of the variations while teaching is of greater importance for the learning process.
