Abstract

Rapporten presenterer statistikk som skal kaste lys over status og utvikling i dei ulike miljøpolitiske resultatområda for jordbruket. Frå 1999 til 2016 er jordbruksarealet i drift redusert med 5 prosent til 9,82 millionar dekar. Fulldyrka jordbruksareal er redusert med 9 prosent til 8,07 millionar dekar, medan areal med innmarksbeite har auka med 28 prosent til 1,56 millionar dekar. Frå 1999 til 2016 er talet på jordbruksbedrifter redusert med 42 prosent. Totalt var det 41 000 aktive jordbruksbedrifter i 2016. I 2016 stod jordbruket for 74 prosent av totale utslepp av lystgass i Noreg. Utslepp av ammoniakk frå jordbruk har dei seinaste åra utgjort over 90 prosent av dei totale utsleppa i landet. Husdyrproduksjonen står for nesten alle utsleppa av metan i jordbruket, og saman med avfallsdeponi er dette dei viktigaste kjeldene for utslepp av metan i Noreg. I rapporten kan du lese meir om mellom anna økologisk jordbruk, kulturlandskap, gjødsling, plantevern og tilførsel av næringsstoff til vassdraga og havet. Denne rapporten har blitt utgitt årleg sidan 1993 og byggjer på ei rekkje datakjelder i og utanfor Statistisk sentralbyrå. Rapporten er delfinansiert av Landbruksdirektoratet.
